Applied Building Conservation Training is the training division of HSR (Aust) Group offering training and professional services within the construction and restoration industry in South Australia. ABCT operates in collaboration with Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) and in Western Australia with the National Trust and the Building Industry Training Fund (BITF). In New South Wales, we have delivered conservation programs in Broken Hill and Wilcannia through the Federal Funding Scheme
ABCT has also delivered indigenous programs in various locations of remote and regional Australia teaching heritage skills.
ABCT also develop training programs with joint stakeholders, the Corrections Department WA and the National Trust, aiming to develop skills to prisoners, Work for the Dole participants and out-of-work construction industry workers.
ABCT has just recently been awarded a Certificate of Recognition by SA Heritage Heroes 2013 for valued contribution to the conservation of South Australia’s heritage and the recording of its history.
ABCT was presented with an award by the City of Onkaparinga for delivering courses on traditional skills and techniques st Sauerbiers House in recognition of history and heritage conservation and promotion.
